Kimberly citizen, government contractor

What empowers you?

A desire to provide a workplace for others that is employee-focused, customer-driven, inclusive, and socially responsible.

Who inspires you?

Disruptors. Women who have fundamentally redefined an industry. Leaders such as Cathy Hughes, Janice Bryant Howroyd, Sara Blakely, Bethenny Frankel, etc.

What was your initial reason for getting into the industry you're in now?

A desire to provide a culture that was attuned to the needs of it’s employees in the government contracting space.

Having worked for Big 4 Consulting firms most of my career, I felt disconnected from the company. More often than not, I felt as though I was just a number. I wanted to change that for employees of government contractors.

What do you love most about Baltimore?

Baltimore has so much to offer. We have all the conveniences of a major metropolitan city with the charm and connectedness of a small town. Proximity to DC allows me to headquarter my business here while still maintaining a large client base in DC.

What's your ultimate goal career wise?

I would like to become a venture capitalist focusing investment on female veterans and women of color whose ideas don’t often see the light of day due to lack of interest and investment.

What do you want your legacy to be?

That I created opportunities for others to shine.
