Rihanna Opens Up About Her New Clothing Line, the Future of Fashion and Her Next Album

In this New York Times article, Rihanna opens up about her clothing line, fashion and her music. It was mentioned to her by her style director, Jahleel, that she was the first Black woman to have a line with LVMH and Rihanna couldn’t believe it. She felt so proud to have this opportunity.

“I didn’t have these dreams when I was little. I had a dream of making music; that’s it. I didn’t even think about the fame part, and then that happened, and it’s like, “Do I really like this? How much do I really love music that I’m dealing with this?”

Rihanna says that she loves corsets and includes it into different pieces such as a suit, a dress, a shirt, a denim jacket, and a T-shirt dress. Rihanna’s line didn’t come overnight she slowly incorporated herself into fashion first by wearing it,and buying it next, being recognized for her style then, collaborating with other lines. All of this brought her to where she is today, Fenty.

As we all know, Rihanna’s next album will be a reggae album and is her ninth studio album. So far, we know that she isn't collaborating with Lady Gaga as some fans thought and she isn’t working with Drake. She says she doesn’t have a title yet nor a release date.

Prices will range from $200 to $1,500 in the first drop: A T-shirt will cost about $200; outerwear will range from $1,100 to $1,500. Accessories will also be available, including shoes from $600 to $700 and jewelry from $350 to $600.
