Darlene comes from Maryland where she attended University of Baltimore for her MBA. She has a passion for people, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Most recently, she worked in the apparel industry with a focus on social compliance in the manufacturing space. Darlene is also a Return Peace Corps Volunteer having served in the country of Georgia for two years. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, working out, and online window shopping.
Alexis McGill is the Director of Group Sales & Marketing for the Embassy Suites. She has over 10 years of service in the hospitality industry. That experience has provided her with the opportunity to expand her passion for event planning, and project management. I am excited to learn and utilize my abilities to further the mission of Color Vision.
Njoki Maina is a Project Manager and Event Planner with over five years experience with some of the country's top educational, health, and wellness organizations. Her mission is to work with diverse communities to foster healthy and productive work environments to achieve meaningful results. Njoki's infectious positive energy encourages others to not just work harder, but to have fun and enjoy life along the way. In her free time, Njoki likes to travel, hike, practice yoga and enjoy vegan desserts.
A native of Harlem, New York, Lenier Thomas earned her undergraduate degree from Morgan State University and a Master of Science in Management Strategy and Leadership from New York University. For over a decade, her passion projects have shaped her as an experienced event producer, project coordinator, and social media manager for several organizations, campaigns, and entrepreneurs. Currently, Lenier serves as the Chief of Development and Operations for a faith-based institution based in New York City. She oversees fundraising and philanthropic strategies, communications, special events, and community engagement in this capacity. Her professional experience continues to expand with several capabilities within executive administration, development, strategy, and digital marketing. One for culture and community, Lenier established Harlem Exchange to offer strategic resources and event support to Black-owned brands and businesses. Additionally, she serves with a number of community and faith-based organizations as an advocate, board member, and volunteer.
