Built to Last: Celebrating Women Shaping Culture

This Women’s History Month, Color Vision is bringing together an inspiring group of women for an evening centered on leadership, creativity, and community.

On March 18, we will gather at Vital Voices Headquarters in Washington, D.C. for Built to Last: Women Shaping Culture—a special event highlighting women who are building meaningful careers, businesses, and platforms while making an impact in their industries and communities.

Women across every field are shaping culture in powerful ways. From beauty and creative entrepreneurship to advocacy and digital storytelling, this evening will spotlight the journeys of women who are building work that lasts. Through conversation and connection, we’ll explore what it means to grow, lead, and create in today’s evolving landscape.

The evening will feature a dynamic conversation with an incredible lineup of women:

Mariah Oates Barnette, Chief of Staff at Mama Toto Village, whose work focuses on supporting Black mothers and families through community-centered resources and advocacy.

Kacey Holland, founder of Penfield Play Lab, a creative space dedicated to imagination, exploration, and learning through play.

Yene Damtew, internationally recognized hairstylist, salon owner, and the longtime hairstylist to former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Tiffany Lumpkin, makeup artist whose work celebrates beauty, artistry, and confidence.

Kay Davenport, content creator who uses storytelling and digital platforms to inspire and connect with audiences.

Together, these women represent the creativity, leadership, and innovation shaping culture today.

Guests can expect an evening filled with thoughtful conversation, meaningful connections, and a vibrant community of women gathering to celebrate one another during Women’s History Month. The event will also feature curated vendors and opportunities to connect with other women across industries.
