Washington, D.C. — September 20, 2025 — The National Housing Center was filled with energy, purpose, and celebration as Color Vision hosted its highly anticipated 2025 Creators Summit. This year’s gathering brought together hundreds of creators, entrepreneurs, and innovators for a full day of empowerment, networking, and inspiration—cementing its place as one of the leading convenings for Black women in the creative economy.
The event, hosted by Nori Nori, beloved co-host of The Good Morning Show on WPGC, was marked by an atmosphere of connection, collaboration, and celebration of excellence.
Honoring Women Who Inspire Generations
The Summit paid tribute to an extraordinary group of honorees whose impact spans business, entertainment, wellness, and media. Among those recognized were:
Laila Pruitt, actress and rising star inspiring the next generation of storytellers.
Clarke Peoples, influencer
Akilah Releford Gould, founder of Mary Louise Cosmetics, revolutionizing beauty and entrepreneurship.
Devi Brown, master well-being educator, author, and healer uplifting women through holistic practices.
Kay Davenport, content creator and former educator .
These honorees were celebrated not only for their professional accomplishments but also for the ways they have carved new pathways and created opportunities for others.
A Marketplace of Possibility
The 2025 Summit featured a robust Marketplace of over 40 Black women–owned businesses, offering attendees the chance to shop, discover, and support products and services across beauty, wellness, fashion, and lifestyle. Thanks to Truist Bank, which served as the official Marketplace partner, attendees also benefited from financial literacy insights as Chantel Brooks of Truist shared actionable knowledge on managing wealth and planning for the future.
Building Careers and Networks
Capital One amplified its commitment to empowering diverse communities by providing resume and portfolio reviews. Attendees received real-time feedback and professional guidance to strengthen their career journeys. The day closed with a lively networking mixer courtesy of Diageo, giving participants the opportunity to build relationships and expand their professional networks in an intimate, celebratory setting.
