Color Vision Launches Scholarship Program, Awarding Thousands to Empower the Next Generation of Women Leaders

Washington, D.C. — October 1st, 2025 — Color Vision is proud to announce a transformative scholarship initiative, investing thousands of dollars to support women pursuing their education and career goals in business, media, and creative industries. Through three distinct scholarships, Color Vision will provide opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students who are ready to lead, create, and disrupt.

This bold new effort reflects Color Vision’s ongoing mission: to empower women of color and amplify the voices shaping culture, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The Bold Futures Scholarship

The Bold Futures Scholarship awards $1,000 to undergraduate or graduate students who demonstrate a passion for leadership, creativity, and building pathways in business, media, or creative industries.

Applicants are required to submit a 500-word essay answering:

“What does it mean to you to lead boldly in today’s world? Share how you are using your voice, creativity, or leadership to create change in your community, industry, or school. How do you envision building a future that reflects your values, goals, and vision—and what steps are you taking now to make that future a reality?”

💸 Award Amount: $1,000

The Digital Culture Creative Futures Scholarship

Presented by The Azali Family, this $2,000 scholarship is designed to support women currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs who are pursuing careers in digital culture, marketing, media, or communications.

Applicants are asked to write an essay on:

“How do you see the digital future? Share your perspective on how digital culture is reshaping the world — and how you intend to lead, create, or innovate within it.”

This scholarship underscores Color Vision’s commitment to empowering women in fields at the intersection of creativity, technology, and culture, preparing them to shape the future of media and digital storytelling.

The Murphy Girls Scholarship Fund

Created by Joi-Marie Murphy McKenzie Lewis, this $1,000 scholarship honors the legacy of the Murphy Girls — five trailblazing daughters of Afro-American Newspaper publisher Carl Murphy and Vashti Turley Murphy. The sisters left an indelible mark on journalism and history, including:

The Murphy Girls Scholarship supports undergraduate or graduate students who are passionate about journalism and committed to telling Black stories. Applicants are asked to submit a 500-word essay reflecting on how they plan to carry forward the legacy of storytelling and representation.
