Color Vision Announces Its 2026–2027 Mentorship Program Cohort
Seven women selected for a six-month mentorship experience focused on career development, leadership, entrepreneurship, and meaningful professional connections
WASHINGTON, D.C., September 9, 2026 — Color Vision Creates Foundation is proud to announce the seven women selected for its 2026–2027 Mentorship Program cohort.
The six-month program connects women at pivotal stages of their professional journeys with accomplished mentors who can provide personalized guidance, encouragement, industry knowledge, and access to meaningful networks. From September 8, 2026, through February 8, 2027, each mentor and mentee will participate in a 30-minute conversation once a month focused on the mentee’s goals and professional development.
“This cohort represents the kind of talent, ambition, and purpose that Color Vision exists to support,” said Mia Davis, Founder of Color Vision. “Each mentee is building something meaningful, whether that is a career, a business, a nonprofit organization, or a platform for change. Our goal is to make sure they do not have to navigate that journey alone.”
Meet the 2026–2027 Mentee Cohort
Jaden Gross is a junior Business Marketing major at Coppin State University, a licensed cosmetologist, and the founder of HerBeauteImpact. She is building a career at the intersection of beauty, entrepreneurship, marketing, and community impact.
Mikenzie Taylor is a multimedia professional, public speaker, and live-event host whose work combines special events, creative production, storytelling, and community engagement.
Zaria Hardy is a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to relational, attachment-based, and trauma-sensitive care. Her work supports individuals and families while helping expand access to culturally responsive mental health resources.
Kandice Johnson is a digital marketing professional and Bowie State University alumna working across content marketing, brand engagement, and early-talent development.
Demi Trimm is a first-generation college graduate and Grants and Programs Associate with the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands. She is building a career that connects finance, grantmaking, nonprofit strategy, and community impact.
Kimasia Ayers is a socio-cultural consultant, strategist, systems thinker, and international speaker. Through her consulting practice, she helps organizations translate cultural insights into thoughtful strategies, communications, and programs.
Sophonie Compas is the founder and executive director of Posterity International, a nonprofit addressing human-rights violations and supporting displaced communities. Her long-term goal is to attend law school and pursue international public law, with the aim of working within the United Nations system on human rights and institutional accountability.
Each mentee has been thoughtfully paired with an experienced professional whose leadership and expertise align with her goals. Throughout the program, mentors will help participants clarify their next steps, strengthen their professional confidence, navigate challenges, and build sustainable pathways toward long-term success.
The Color Vision Mentorship Program reflects the organization’s commitment to creating access through relationships. By connecting women with leaders who understand their ambitions and the realities of building a career or business, Color Vision is helping participants develop the knowledge, confidence, and networks needed to thrive.
